Discarded

I've shied a away from doing future tech illustration for a while.  It wasn't that I didn't like the genre, it was more that I didn't have an idea that I liked that was organic to my style and sensibilities.  Discarded was the image that I really felt strongly enough to finally dive in to.  The resulting illustration is the story about an android who was never meant to have her own thoughts and opinions.  She was a test, an experiment in the pursuit of a new ideal, of what can be made possible when emotion is taken away from decision making when an immanent threat is perceived.  She now sees that she's considered the threat and she'll defend her own ideals with her life.
